August 25, 2008 -- Micro-Mechanics, a maker of precision tools and parts for the semiconductor assembly and test industry, has reported a 6.7 per cent rise in full-year net profit to $8.9 million. Revenue for the full year ended June 30 was up 10.1 per cent at $38.2 million. The group attributed its good results to double-digit sales growth in China, Europe, Thailand and Malaysia. To accelerate the growth of its custom machining and assembly (CMA) division, the group started operating a new factory in the United States in June after acquiring it for $2.5 million.
